Hamilton family plot in the north west corner of the cemetery.
Hamilton is buried in a family plot, but that can not be confirmed because the other markers present are field stones. Thomas Hamilton's burial site is the only one marked with a readable headstone.

Style: Hamilton has a government issued upright headstone installed by members of the Sons of Confederate Veterans - Forrest's Escort Camp No. 1239.
The contemporary headstone sites in front of a small, white field stone.

Condition: While the headstone and field stones are in good condition, the stone walls surrounding the family plot need to be realigned and secured.

Hamilton's service record from The National Archives. During the Civil War, he was a Private in Co. D, of the 10th Regiment Cavalry of the Georgia State Guard.

Hamilton enrolled on July 27, 1863 in Hickory Level for a period of six months. He appeared on the muster roll for Capt. B. M. Long's Co. for local defence.
On January 27, 1864, Hamilton was granted a sickness leave for six months. He paid $56.40 for the use of a horse and other supplies.

In February 1867, Hamilton served as administrator for Villa Rica property that belonged to John B. Whick.
The Newnan Herald (Newnan, GA) February 23, 1867.
Although the top line is Thomas W. the text notes the obituary of Thomas M., which I believe is correct.
